In December 2005 I decided it was time to see what all the fuss was with this new paragliding revolution.   Some guys buy a Harley, but I deceided it was time to fly.   I contacted Rob McDermott at Epic Horizon 

he set me up with Johnny Allen one of the Sunshine Coasts most respected instructors.

Johnny and I battled it out for eight days doing a lot of ground training   some tandem flights and some solo flights with Johnny directing me over the radio.   The end result was my Restricted   Paragliding ticket.   This is where it all starts my friends.

Soon after completing training with Johnny I was off to Thailand to see what they offerred in flying.   Although the conditions were not all that good the sites were breathtaking. The Thai Paragliding Club has a great website. 

Then is was back to Papua New Guinea to try out my new Independence wing.
